U.S. Masters Swimming Dorothy Donnelly Service Award

In the early 2000’s, Dave served the Illinois LMSC, as Sanction Chair, Vice Chair, and Chair. Then after retiring in 2018, he served the Hawaii LMSC by becoming a certified USMS Level 3 Coach, and by founding and becoming the head coach of Kona Aquatics. He was the event director for the Triple Crown Series and under Dave's leadership, the Triple Crown series expanded and successfully grew to include four open water swims. Dave ran three of the meets this past year. In addition, Dave became the Sanctions Chair, and the Treasurer for the Hawaii LMSC. As Treasurer he organized the finances, found an old CD, and he applied for a new non-profit status. Dave is well deserving to be recognized by receiving the Dorothy Donnelly Service Award.
