Laura created the first Para Athlete Chair position in USMS for the New England LMSC with a goal of increasing the visibility of disabled athletes, she organized clinics for coaches interested in learning more about coaching disabled athletes, shared resources currently available for coaches, and encouraged the inclusion of a para category in local and regional Masters swim meets. She also conducted a TED Talk about her first experience at a Paralympic swim meet.
