U.S. Masters Swimming Dorothy Donnelly Service Award

Ali served as the USMS Long Distance Chair from 2017-2021. She used her superb management skills to delegate work to committee members who had the skill and experience to complete their assigned tasks. She received uniformly rave reviews from her committee as someone who ran efficient meetings while providing an opportunity for everyone to express their opinions. In 2021, Ali’s last year as chair, she led the committee in its preparations to absorb the responsibilities of the Open Water Committee. Ali was a member of the LD committee from 2012-2014 and Vice Chair from 2014-2017. She served on the USMS Fitness Education Committee from 2010-2013. On the local level, Ali was elected in 2021 to a 2-year term as the VP for Open Water on the Pacific LMSC Executive Committee.
