U.S. Masters Swimming Dorothy Donnelly Service Award

Representing the Olympic Club on the Pacific Masters board, Phyllis embodied the spirit of Dorothy Donnelly through her enthusiasm, dedication and generosity to her club, LMSC, and to USMS. She made sure her club members were taken care of on deck, in the pool, and outside of the club by counting laps, cheering, putting relays together, and checking in when life took turns for better or worse for the Olympic Club members. Phillis served as safety coordinator for the annual Trans Tahoe Relay, as LMSC Open Water committee chair, and on the USMS Long Distance Committee. She made sure open water and pool events, and clinics take place in her LMSC by providing administrative support. Phyllis helped the board understand and follow the changes in USMS insurance for open water events.
