U.S. Masters Swimming Kerry O'Brien Coaches Award

Cokie Lepinski was the founding coach of the Master's division of the Marin Pirates. In an area that already had competitive teams, Cokie started a new team. Her energy encouraged swimmers to do their best in workout. She brought swimmers to local meets and she encouraged many of her swimmers to compete in their first Masters meet.  As head of the Pacific Masters Coaches Committee, it was her energy and drive that encouraged 25 Pacific Masters coaches to attend SwimFest, a USMS sponsored coaches’ educational clinic. Pacific believed that Cokie was an outstanding new coach who deserved being nominated for the Kerry O'Brien Award.
