Peter Crumbine has been a member of USMS for over 20 years, as well as attending dozens of National Conventions.  Peter served on the Sports Medicine Committee before joining the Long Distance Committee and serving as its Chair. At the LMSC level with Connecticut, Peter served as the LMSC Chair and in many other roles.  At the local level, Peter founded the Greenwich Swim Committee in 1986, which conducts an open water event that has been selected to be the host of a National Championship event.
