In the fall of 2003, a Task Force on Structure and Governance was formed as a subcommittee of the USMS Planning Committee. The report submitted to the annual meeting of the House of Delegates ("HOD") and the resulting decisions on governance can be found in the 2004 Convention reports for Planning and Legislation.

In it's second year, the task force is completing the proposed structure for USMS governance and the policies and guidelines that will accompany that structure. The task force will be reporting regularly on the progress and posting documents for public comment.
