The City of Fort Lauderdale and the International Swimming Hall of Fame are proud to host the 1998 USMS Long Course National Championships.

Complete results of competition are now available. The summary of USMS national records broken at the meet will be available shortly (all new national records are indicated by an N next to the time in the results). The FINA World Championships and Nike World Masters Games were held recently and the world records have not yet been updated to reflect the results of these meets. Therefore, there will be no listing of new world records here from the USMS Nationals (to avoid potential confusion).

The 1998 Long Course Nationals were held from August 20-23, 1998. There were a total of 928 swimmers representing 141 teams entered in the meet.
